about

GLOBAL WARMING DENIERS - TAKE HEED!

We have a message: CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL and those that deny it are fooling themselves. We feel that the message is important enough to carry us away from our normal pop song writing.

Recorded at Rax Trax Chicago, with Grammy nominated producer Rick Barnes, Shake Someone has a sound that can only be obtained in a studio of that caliber. The big sound and polished production reflect what we are trying to communicate as evidenced by samples of the song’s lyrics:

The arctic is melting away…and now the next generation will pay…

Ain’t no winner in this fight… it’s not all about left or right…

In addition, the release date is June 5, 2015, in conjunction with the United Nation’s World Environment Day celebrations. www.unep.org/wed/wed2015/
A PORTION OF THE SINGLES PROCEEDS WILL BE DONATED TO UNEP.

The single will be available through the 95+ digital distribution partners of CD Baby which include iTunes, Spotify, Amazon and Google Play. The song will also be available through the band’s Soundcloud, Bandcamp and Reverbnation sites.

lyrics

Verse: Sometimes you gotta Shake Someone!
They see but they will not believe
They hear but they will not concede
They say the data is still incomplete!

What else can we say?
The world’s getting warmer each day,
The arctic is melting away –
And now the next generation will pay.

Chorus: Yeah – must be hard - being so right!
Living in denial with all your might!
Guess we’ll try to even the score,
By moving just one more
Till we won’t have to Shake Someone anymore!
(Organ Solo)
Chorus: And – ain’t no winner in this fight.
It’s not all about left or right!
So, we’ll try to even the score,
By moving just one more
Till we don’t have to Shake Someone –

Verse: Shake Someone –
There has to be some kind of way
There’s gotta be something to say.
While the earth dies a little – each day!

Yeah – Shake Someone!
You got to Shake Someone!
Go on and Shake Someone!

Yeah – Shake Someone!
Go out and Shake Someone!
It’s time to Shake Someone!!

(Instrumental Out-tro)
