about

AfterGlo
(The first song of three to be released in 2017)

The song, lyrically was inspired by watching a vapor trail at dusk one evening dissipate, then disappear.

The vapor trail was a metaphor for how quickly a life will come & go in the grand scheme.

The song was written from the perspective of a person that has become older & wiser enough to realize that when all that's left is the AfterGlo, (later in one's life), not much else is all that important.

Life is "like a vapor trail across the sky".

Recorded at Rax Trax Studios Chicago with award winning engineers Rick Barnes and Andy Schumacher.

lyrics

AfterGlo

Forget about what you think you know
And trying to push yourself where you can’t go
A lesson learned long ago –

Forget about what you think you’ve seen
And trying to be the man you want to be
That was all just a fantasy – now you see...when -

All that’s left is the AfterGlo
What you feel is all you know
In the end – does it mean anything?
Gotta see what tomorrow brings… again

Hope to find what you think should
Within the bad - there’s always good
When you’re older - it’s understood
or it should… be when –

All that’s left is the AfterGlo
What you feel – is all you know
In the end – does it mean anything?
See what tomorrow brings
If it never meant a thing
See what your life brings or forget about everything

When – All that’s left is the AfterGlo
What you feel is all you know
In the end – did it mean anything?

All that’s left is the AfterGlo
And this life – is all you know
fading - like a vapor trail across the sky

Makes you sit and wonder why
It had to mean a thing
To life is what we cling -
Til we can see what tomorrow brings
